At Sandy Paws, we take great pride in placing puppies in loving, committed homes. Bringing a puppy home is an important family decision, and we encourage every buyer to be fully prepared for the time, care, and responsibility involved.
All puppies are sold as healthy at the time of sale. They are vet-checked, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and cared for to the best of our ability before going home.
Health guarantee & veterinary requirement
Buyers are required to have their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 14 days of purchase. If a licensed veterinarian determines that the puppy is unfit for purchase due to illness or a congenital condition within this timeframe (or within 180 days for hereditary conditions), we will comply with the New York Pet Lemon Law. Documentation from a licensed veterinarian is required.
Returns & exchanges
We do not accept returns based on personal decisions, lifestyle changes, or normal puppy adjustment behaviors. This includes, but is not limited to, house training, crying, chewing, or general acclimation to a new home. Common puppy conditions such as parasites (including Giardia and Coccidia), stress-related symptoms, or minor, treatable conditions are not grounds for return, as these are common in young puppies and are typically easily treated.
Medical concerns
If a return is requested due to a medical concern, the puppy must first be evaluated by a licensed veterinarian. Sandy Paws reserves the right to request documentation and/or a secondary evaluation before approving any return.
Deposits & fees
All deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise explicitly stated at the time of purchase. Any approved return may be subject to applicable fees.
Our commitment
While we cannot guarantee compatibility or adjustment, we are always here to offer guidance and support. If you are unable to keep your puppy, we will make reasonable efforts to help with rehoming. Refunds are not guaranteed.
